Veka Gets an A label

Users of VEKA's fully-sculptured frame system can now go for the BFRC 'A' label on a double-glazed casement without compromising on reinforcement, thanks to a redesigned steel. Both the VEKA Matrix 58 and 70mm systems can already achieve the 'A' rating - as many fabricators will testify - but the variant steel is necessary for Matrix FS because of the slimmer sightlines of its 56mm outer frame. "Fabricators of some systems have tried to compromise on reinforcement to achieve the label," said VEKA sales and marketing director Colin Torley. "But this is not acceptable in many applications. The new steel means they can build a fully-reinforced casement window - in any finish - from Matrix FS and still qualify for the 'A' accreditation.
