Hospitality 2011 – A Must-Visit Event For The Design Industry
Leading hospitality and foodservice event Hospitality 2011 will be showcasing several new and exciting design projects with a focus on sustainability. Visitors will not only be able to view the designs, but speak to the designers behind the projects, who will be able to offer their expertise and design solutions.
Hospitality 2011 is a must-visit event for professionals in the hotel industry who want to stay in touch with the latest product innovations and emerging design trends. This year's event will inspire visitors with ideas on how to grow their businesses and cope with the challenges of the economic downturn.
Running at the NEC Birmingham from January 24th-26th, it will be the only UK event in the 2011 calendar appealing to a nationwide audience of senior hospitality and foodservice decision-makers and will attract a 12,000-strong audience.
Toby Wand, Group Event Director at Fresh RM, said: “Hospitality’s aim is to offer operators in all sectors, including the design industry, practical help to make their business work harder and more efficiently at a time when conditions remain very challenging. Hospitality 2011 will help people share experiences, offer guidance and showcase invaluable solutions to help visitors build a better business.”
The show, which covers Interiors, Exteriors & Tableware, Food & Drink, Equipment, plus Technology, will be the UK’s largest hospitality and foodservice event in 2011 and features a range of activity that will be of keen interest to operators of all levels, from every type of establishment, including:
• Business Seminar Programme: Inspirational speakers will pass on their design-led advice and experience on how to make businesses flourish, even in challenging times. One of the highlights is Trevor Gulliver & Fergus Henderson of St John Bar & Restaurant at Smithfield fame, talking about their latest venture – a small and sexy boutique hotel in Leicester Square, complete with restaurant and bar. Trevor Gulliver will talk about the process of creating his new ‘icon’, the St John Hotel (Monday January 24th at 2pm). Rupert Martineau of award winning designers, Fox Linton Associates, and senior designer on the Coworth Park project, will provide a visual presentation and several designer ‘tricks of the trade’. Coworth Park, the new country house hotel, part of the Dorchester Collection, near Ascot in Berkshire is probably the most environmentally-sound large hotel project in the UK to date and definitely one of the most beautifully designed. (Tuesday 25th at 3pm)
• Business Mentoring Sessions: Designed to help visitors gear up for the challenges of the economic downturn and make their business more profitable, a respected panel of design industry experts will offer advice and guidance, followed up with the opportunity of a one-to-one session the same afternoon. Mentors lined up to appear include Steve LaBouchardiere from award-winning DesignLSM.
Fresh RM’s Wand added: “Visitors will be able to experience new products, network with industry contacts, source inventive ideas and pick up tips to improve their business performance. The event features a range of activity including our seminar programme which includes advice from people who have been through difficult times and come out the other side, or have simply found a winning formula that has helped their business grow.
“The programme will focus solely on 'helping your business out of recession' and will cover a broad range of design topics to whet the appetites of visitors.”
